MY BIO FROM THE DELTA PAGENT:
Jonathan Hoxter is a freshman from the state of Delaware, attending North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University majoring in Chemical Engineering. He currently has a 3.5 GPA and is involved in the Honors Program at A&T. Upon graduation, Jonathan will continue his studies and earn a degree working as a pharmaceutical engineer. After a few years of working as a pharmaceutical engineer, Jonathan will open his own company, specializing in all types of electronic repair; which he plans to franchise nationwide.
Jonathan is involved in many organizations both back in Delaware and in North Carolina. He is an active member in the NAACP (National Association of the Advancement of Colored People), The FAME Program (Forum to Advanced Minorities in Engineering), North Carolina A&T’s Honors Program, AIChE (American Institute of Chemical Engineers), NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers), The YMCA’s Black Achievers Program, and The Kappa’s, Achievers Program.
Jonathan enjoys traveling, meeting new people, practicing his martial arts, going to jazz and comedy shows, and fine dining. His short term goals include: remaining in the honors program, and being accepted to the schools study abroad program. His long term goals include: graduating college, starting his own company, becoming married, and ultimately obtaining the rank of “the 2 percenters,” a small group of families who control about 80% of U.S. Money. Jonathan was taught to always give back to the community by his mother, and lives by the phrase, “Anything worth having is worth fighting for.”
Jonathan Hoxter is the son Henry Swain and Charalane M. Hoxter, of one of the fourteen women that founded The Mu Pi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated at the University of Delaware in 1975.
