If any of you have been following the Love Live Breathe talk radio show you will have heard the hosts speak of "Stanley".
There have been comments made about "Stanley" and who he is in relationship to love and relationships that the hosts have had.
It would be very appropriate to identify who "Stanley" is and who he is not. You need to be equipped to find out if you are with a "Stanley" or if you have a "Prince Paul" in your midst and you just don't know it.
So who is "Stanley"? Basically this guy is the loser that is making you feel less than who you are in your life. He is the man who has a place in your life that has so many red flags but you just wont heed to the red flags.
Below you will only find a small list of identifying characteristics of a "Stanley" of which are only a hand full.
He lies to you
He decieves
He cheats and begs for your forgiveness over and over and each time you believe him and take him back all the while knowing he will do it again
He does not put you first
He won't divulge much about himself to you even after a long relationship you are still left guessing
He hits you or abuses you in other ways with his words and actions that are causing you pain
He will not help with bills, the cars in the cars both his or yours, he will not help with the children
You have not met his family
No one knows about you and you are not allowed in his circle
Do you see your "Stanley" yet?
He hides his cell phone from you
His activity outside of the bedroom to you is one of indifference as if you do not exist
He allows you to take the responsibility of many if not all household bills and repairs or will not help at all
He will not acknowledge you in public but it is fine to spend time with you behind closed doors.
The very act of speaking to this man can send him into a tizzy of either "I don't see you" to/or "Why are you talking to me?"
You cannot count on him for much of anything save for a romp in his bed or yours
He ignores you.
You are the butt of jokes
He allows his friends or co workers to abuse you even his family and will not defend you
He will not spend time with you or the family
I know by now you recognize your "Stanley".
Here is the issue. There are many "Stanley's" out there. This is but a small list of how you will notice basically the red flags that come about when you are dealing with the wrong man in your life. You will know. It will be the feeling of "I don't feel so good" or "He is hurting me".
Please understand that at this time you can make a list for yourself of the things that bother or hurt you in your relationship. Look over this list and make a decision for your life and that of your children or family or your future.
Many times through the pain you will know that "Stanley" must go.
But in the end that is your decision to take the first step, walk toward the exit sign and pick up the red flags along the way throwing each one at "Stanley".
