Our technology and innovation, partnerships and networks combine to deliver a unique set of products and services that help people, businesses and governments realize their greatest potential.</i></p><p></p><p><b>Title and Summary</b></p><h3></h3><p></p>Senior Security Monitoring and Response Analyst<h3></h3><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>The Security Operations Center (SOC) is a high-performance team responsible for security monitoring and response using advanced toolsets. The team is available 24/7 though a globally distributed operational team. The Security Monitoring and Response Senior Analyst is an integral member of the SOCs Incident Response team, providing direct support for security incidents and general security operations.<br> <br> Do you want to be part of the team handling complex technical monitoring and response functions during a security incident?<br> Have you provided technical leadership or oversight to junior analysts?<br> Do you want to improve security operations through technical initiatives and data analysis?<br> <br>Role<br> Takes ownership of Incidents reported to the Incident Response Team end to end. <br> Regularly reviews team performance and participates in metrics and quality assurance activities.<br> Performs technical analysis for security Incidents, including for cases of malware, web attacks, lateral movement, and other ad hoc issues as they arise. <br> Lead and conduct threat hunting activities.<br> Identify and lead projects with the focus of making improvements to SOC operations. <br> Maintain on-call hours to handle escalated events after hours and maintain the ability to provide rare emergency coverage in the SOC if needed. <br> Mentor and coach SOC Tier 1 staff members to assist with improving operations and increasing their capabilities.<br> <br>All About You<br> Hold or able to gain one or more recognized security industry certifications like GCIH, GCFE, GCFA, ECIH, OSCP etc.<br> Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex IT and security challenges by leveraging advanced log analysis and system-level troubleshooting in Incident Response, SRE, or System Administration environments.<br> Experience with a SIEM tool and/or security orchestration applications.<br> Strong understanding of ATT&CK Framework, Common Web Attacks, NIST or ISO Incident Handling Procedures, Knowledge of Windows and Unix Based Operating Systems, and Networking Principles.<br> Experience with PowerShell, bash, python, or other scripting languages desired.<br> Demonstrated ability to work effectively in ambiguous and/or high-pressure situations.<br> Strong teamoriented mindset with the ability to operate within a highperformance, globally distributed team.<br> Availability for on-call rotations for escalations during off-hours.<h3></h3><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Mastercard is a merit-based, inclusive, equal opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Pay Ranges</b></p>O'Fallon, Missouri: $96,000 - $163,000 USD<h3></h3><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h3></h3><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h3></h3><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h3></h3><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>
