Our teams build solutions for joint reconstruction; trauma and craniomaxillofacial; sports, extremities, and elective foot and ankle; spine; and robotics and digital surgery.</p><p>Johnson &amp; Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.</p><p>Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.</p><p></p><p><b><u>Position Overview</u></b></p><p>The <b>External Manufacturing Supply Integration Manager</b> is responsible for managing multiple global External Manufacturers (EM’s) for DePuy Synthes (DPS) and is directly accountable for the seamless integration of supply.  They will work cross-functionally to implement supplier-facing initiatives that ensure business continuity, quality, compliance, and supplier OTIF.  This role is responsible to complete and monitor both tactical and continuous improvement initiatives in the areas of Plan, New Product Introduction, and Technical Operations.  Each Manager is expected to lead the resolution of both short-term and structural issues with the supplier and DPS support functions for finished goods, packaging, and sterilization.  In addition, will lead, coach, and develop a small team of professional level associates. </p><p></p><p><b><u>Duties and Responsibilities</u></b></p><p>· Responsible for the seamless integration of EM supply with vendors of moderate size &amp; complexity </p><p>· Ensure EM capability, including risk profile, meets the short and long-term business, customer, and patient requirements of DPS </p><p>· As representative of DPS, ensure the EM has the necessary information to deliver quality products consistently and on-time. This includes the implementation and closure of supplier change orders (SCR) and other required documentation </p><p>· Monitor and develop EM key performance indicators (KPI’s) such as leadtime, on-time delivery, backorder, S&amp;OP attainment, SCR closure, and risk composite score  </p><p>· Support the development and implementation of proactive risk mitigation activities with both the EM and their extended supply chain partners </p><p>· Represent EM to internal stakeholders as part of the STEM (short-term event management) and Supply Chain Launch Readiness processes to prioritize &amp; lead the resolution of supply issues </p><p>· Provides input into the DPS EM/ExOps Supply S&amp;OP process </p><p>· Coordinate the short, medium, and long-term synchronization of supply and demand for their group of suppliers.  This may necessitate implementation of S&amp;OP meetings between DPS and the EM </p><p>· Ensure organizationally aligned incentives between DPS and the EM and call out opportunities for enhancement </p><p>· Support/Coordinate the deployment of supplier development/Operations Excellence engagements &amp; resources across the supplier that improve right first time, lead time, machine down time, backorder &amp; OTD.  </p><p>· Facilitate cross-functional decision making as it pertains to trade-offs within the EM network </p><p>· Oversight and communication of an attainable supply plan for EM products based on DPS net requirements  </p><p>· Collaborates in the following areas: inventory, service, and cost optimization (MOQ’s), lead time reduction, optimization of order quantities, capacity analysis, scenario planning, supplier performance measurement, annual business planning cycle </p><p>· Manage a team of approximately 1-3 professionals who are responsible for supplier management, including supplier data preparation &amp; analytical support. Ensure strong results through effective performance management, development planning and ongoing engagement. </p><p>· Help to resolve discrepancies and disputes from PO to Invoice </p><p>· Coach, guide and support the team as it relates to supplier management, critical decision making and communications </p><p>  </p><p><b><u>Experience and Education</u></b></p><p>· BA/BS degree in a Business-related field of study, Supply Chain, Logistics Sciences or Engineering field is required </p><p>· 8-10 years (6-8 years with MBA or equivalent experience) of direct experience within Supplier Relationship Management, Planning, or Manufacturing Operations, preferably within the medical device industry is required </p><p></p><p><b><u>Required knowledge, skills, abilities, certification/licenses</u></b></p><p>· Proven ability to work cross-functionally is required </p><p>· Demonstrated track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing direct reports is required </p><p>· Strong written and oral communication, influencing, and negotiation skills are required </p><p>· A background in Operational Excellence (Lean / Six-Sigma) is preferred </p><p>· Firm understanding of E2E supply chain with an emphasis on Planning and constraint theory is preferred </p><p>· A positive, customer-focused and collaborative approach to problem solving is required </p><p>· The ability to develop data and leverage metrics and analytics to generate insights for continuous improvement is required </p><p>· The ability to work independently and with urgency in a globally matrixed environment </p><p></p><p><b><u>Location and Travel requirements</u></b></p><p>· Ireland, US, UK</p><p>· 10% to 20%Travel</p><p></p><p>Don&#39;t miss this exceptional opportunity to join a world-class company and make a lasting impact.
